I discovered calligraphy through the study of Celtic decoration more than 27 years ago.
I go back in time and propose you to discover these decorations with their construction methods in an online course.
The English version will take place on February 27 and 28, 2021.
The French version will take place on February 20 and 21, 2021.
It has been too long since I offered an internship in my studio, so I invite you to join me for a course on a 9th century script from a manuscript from Landévennec Abbey over 2 days, followed by an introduction to Celtic decoration.
All this will take place from August 3 to 5, 2019, possibility to do only the two days of calligraphy if you are only available on weekends.
The price is 50€ per day, 100€ for calligraphy and 150€ if you also want to acquire the basics of Celtic decoration.

This is probably a little letter from the book of Kells (I think), made more than 15 years ago (that’s why the source is not very trustworthy), and it has been forgotten in a drawing board for more than ten years.
I didn’t add the colors (in case you haven’t noticed, color is not my thing) but it’s probably pretty much in line with the original from a design point of view (& not color)).
After the capital letters A, I continue to collect the initials of the Gospel of Lindisfarne for my Celtic workshop in Welkenraedt next March.
